Mud Bath

The results of a walk in the desert which turned quite dirty after the boys found a mud puddle (more like mud lake) to play in.  Understand, our desert it not just sand.  It is sand and CLAY, thus the clay helmets!

Camping With Dad

Dad spoke at a Memorial Weekend camp conference in California. He took all four boys for a guys weekend away while Mom and Aria had girls' time at home!

Men at the BBQ!

The speaker's cabin is up the hill.

Some of the conference crowd.

The boys eagerly await a bonfire as it gets chilly in the evening.

It is a beautifully wooded campground that belongs to the presbytery.

The speaker is the only one who gets a cabin!

Caulin and his buddy Jakob Loverin. The Loverins went along and met up with some of their CA family.

There was a pond where the boys found many little frogs...yes, there were plenty of mosquitos.
Overall, it was a great time! The boys enjoyed exploring the woods and meeting other children. Mom also enjoyed her respite at home and spent lots of time gardening and eating out with Jeff! She did only one load of dishes in the dishwasher all weekend!

Two Very Useful Engines

For those who have seen Thomas the Train...Killian and Christian proved themselves to be very useful little engines when on a wood-cutting excursion with their Dad. They earned some cash for their hard work helping our friends Bryan and Ambur Aten. They helped haul wood while Dad and Bryan worked the chainsaws and managed to fill both this trailer and the truck bed.

Christian worked very hard!

...so did Killian...and it was hot!

tough guys...

Killian's Catch

Killian came out of the desert with this just the other day!  Skye saw it and turned as what as a ghost!  I don't blame her.

The Many Faces of Aria

We love our little girl!

Caulin's Spring Program

Caulin did a wonderful job singing. He knew all the words and motions.

It's hard to believe our third child is ready for Kindergarten! Way to go, Caulin!

The Kids

When I saw this shot of Kaden, it struck me how much he is growing up....and into a handsome little dude too! He is such a sweet boy and we are so blessed to have him.

From left to right: Caulin 5, Kaden 3, Christian 6, Killian 8, Aria 18 mos.

A Swing With a View

Here, Kaden and Aria are enjoying the swing in the back yard.

It is a beautiful time of year to enjoy a little green in Battle Mountain. We enjoy watching the snow come and go on the mountains all through spring until it finally melts in the summer. The boys are enjoying the desert and have already captured a lizard for their terarium. Fun times!

Mischief...

Aria loves to turn the TV on and off...especially when her brother's are watching movies and playing video games. This may be the beginning of the end of being "spoiled" by her brothers if she keeps it up...little rascal!
